The Thomae Company was a division of the Watson Co. and was located in Attleboro, Massachusetts. They were manufacturers of sterling silver novelties and toiletware, enameled novelties and toiletware, silver and gold stripe novelties and gold and silver medals. |

Probably the best known name in silver is that of Tiffany & Co. In continuous business since 1837. The "C" on this mark, dates this mark to between 1902 and 1907. The "C" is the surname initial of Tiffany's President, during the time, John T. Cook. Tiffany won the Grand Prize for Silverware at the Paris Expositions of 1878, 1889 and 1900.

The A.F. Towle & Son Co. was formed in 1882 and were in business through 1902 at which point their dies were purchased by Rogers, Lunt and Bowlen who were later to become Lunt Silversmiths. |

Towle Silversmiths was formed as the Towle Manufacturing Co. in 1882 in Newburyport, Massachusetts. This company is best known for its sterling flatware patterns and two of their more popular patterns were "Old Colonial" and "Georgian". The bottom mark was used only on their LaFayette flatware and holloware pattern. Today, Towle is owned by Syratech Corporation of East Boston, Massachusetts.
