The Manchester Silver Co. traces its roots to Providence, Rhode Island in the late 1880's. According to a 1929 catalogue they were manufacturers of sterling flatware and hollowware. On a 1950 brochure, the instructions, "Remember If It's Manchester It's Sterling," appear on the front page. |

Paul March has been a jeweler and silversmith since at least the mid 1980's. He is known to have made Christmas Ornaments. |

The Mauser Manufacturing Co. was started in the late 1880's by Frank Mauser. They were located in Mt. Vernon, New York and were manufacturers of sterling hollowware and flatware. They purchased the dies for George W. Shiebler's American Beauty pattern. In 1905, they purchased the flatware dies of the J. B & S.M. Knowles Co.

Joseph Mayer & Brothers was established in 1895 by Albert, Joseph & Marcus Mayer. The company was incorporated in 1920 and at a later point became the Northern Stamping and Manufacturing Company. They were purchased by E. & J. Towle in 1945, which in turn became West Earth Incorporated in August of 1908. They are located in Seattle, Washington and manufacture sterling flatware and souvenir spoons. |

George W. McDannold worked from the 1820’s to the 1860’s. He worked in Mt. Sterling and Covington, Kentucky. This mark is one of his later marks to have been used. McDannold worked with coin silver. |

The Meriden Britannia Company was formed in 1852 in Meriden, Connecticut. The Rogers Bros firm was purchased by Meriden Britannia in 1862, thereby acquiring the 1847 Rogers Bros line. In 1878, they had a store at Union Square in New York City and a manufacturing facility in West Meriden, CT. According to their 1878 catalogue, the company won a first place medal at the 1876 Centennial Exhibition in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the "large variety of silver plated white metal hollow ware, of excellent quality and finish, and of tasteful designs." They were one of the original companies that joined together to form the International Silver Co. in 1898.

The Meriden Silver Plate Co. was founded in 1869 in Meriden, Connecticut by Charles Casper. They were one of the original companies that joined together to form the International Silver Co. in 1898. These are several of the known marks.

| The Middletown Silver Co. was established in 1899 in Middletown, CT. In the 1934 Edition of the Trademarks of the Jewelry and Kindred Trades, they are listed as being at 55 Hubbard St. |
